Training is targeted at persons wishing to undertake Rodent Control for pests such as mice and rat infestations predominantly in the land-based and related industries, Forestry, Agriculture,Horticulture, Conservation and Construction.

Course Details:

Mouse and Rat infestations can afflict the best run businesses, and dealing with it effectively requires knowledge and skill. Because many of the treatments involve the use of poisonous substances, it is essential that pest control is carried out by people who have received proper training.Some of the course content includes, reasons for controlling rodents, The biology and behaviour of rodents, current rodenticides and formulations, surveying, safe use, storage, transport and disposal of rodenticides, non-chemical rodent control or the use of Aluminium Phosphide to control rats. If the optional subject of the use of Aluminium Phosphides is needed then the course duration is extended from a 1 day course to a 1 and half day course.
