It is believed some events such as village fetes are being cancelled due to Health and Safety concerns.
It is seen by some that managing health and safety for such an event must be extremely complex and therefore its best not to hold the event at all.
However the health and safety regulations are in place simply to save lives. If a common sense approach is used and that health and safety is ‘fit for purpose’ and acted upon then it shouldn’t cause any great issues in the organising of any event.
